Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 | Full-time | Monday-Friday

About the Role
As an Affordable Housing Recertification / Compliance Specialist, you will ensure your community meets all HUD, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and affordable housing compliance regulations while supporting residents through the leasing and certification process.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in property management compliance. You’ll work closely with residents, property managers, and compliance teams to maintain accurate documentation and deliver a strong resident experience.
Key Responsibilities
As an Affordable Housing Recertification / Compliance Specialist, you will:
- Process applications, recertifications, lease agreements, and renewals in compliance with HUD and LIHTC guidelines
- Guide residents and applicants through the affordable housing qualification and leasing process
- Maintain accurate files and complete compliance reporting and documentation
- Ensure adherence to HUD Section 8 and Tax Credit (LIHTC) regulations
- Support rent processing, security deposits, and financial tracking
- Partner with property management to ensure audit readiness and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
To be successful as an Affordable Housing Recertification / Compliance Specialist, you should have:
- 2+ years of property management experience, preferably in affordable housing (100+ units)
- Experience with HUD Section 8 and/or LIHTC compliance (preferred)
- Strong data entry and administrative accuracy
- Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar property management software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Tax Credit certifications (COS, TCS) preferred or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
- Flexibility to support occasional evenings or weekends
