About this role

Reporting to the 3rd Shift Production Manager, you will lead plant sanitation operations at our Marshall, Missouri facility. You will oversee sanitation programs, procedures, and team members to ensure equipment, processing areas, and facilities meet food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, contractors, and external partners to drive continuous improvement, maintain sanitation standards, and support a culture of food safety and operational excellence.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, coach, and monitor the plant sanitation team to ensure safe and effective sanitation practices.
  • Plan and execute daily, weekly, and periodic facility cleaning and sanitation activities.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Master Cleaning Schedule, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, Plant Improvement Plan, and environmental monitoring program.
  • Partner with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to improve sanitation processes and sanitation effectiveness.
  • Conduct routine sanitation inspections, audits, and assessments while tracking corrective actions through completion.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety programs, Good Manufacturing Practices, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Support the implementation and validation of Clean In Place and Clean Out Place systems and sanitation controls.
  • Investigate sanitation concerns, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Monitor the proper use of sanitation chemicals, cleaning agents, and pest management programs.
  • Promote employee engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sanitation team.
  • Report food safety concerns and escalate issues requiring immediate attention.

Ingredients Required for Your Success

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biology, Agriculture, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field OR 3+ years of experience in food manufacturing, sanitation, quality, production, or a related environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety principles and Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point principles preferred.
  • Familiarity with Food and Drug Administration and United States Department of Agriculture regulations preferred.
  • Exposure to Clean In Place and Clean Out Place systems is a plus.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and team leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and basic computer systems.
  • Experience leading projects, teams, internships, student organizations, or continuous improvement initiatives is a plus.

You may be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand-eye coordination.
You may be required to lift or carry materials that can vary in weight and size.
This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.

Compensation

Pay Range:$64,000-$95,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
