Under the supervision of the VP of FPNA, the Junior Financial Analyst is responsible for managing government contracts (Federal, New York State and New York City) and other grants in the portfolio; assisting on preparing variety of reports, analysis and reconciliations, and assisting on other financial planning and analysis works as needed. Requires working closely with other FPNA team members. Requires frequent interaction with other finance team and other departments. Essential Duties

Assists on contract budgets preparation, budget modifications, contract amendments, contract closeout, and other contract management matters
Prepares and submits monthly or quarterly vouchers to government funders, works with funding agencies on invoice revision, approval and payment disbursement as needed
Assists on monthly contract and program budget reports preparation
Assists on grant budget and budget modification, and grant reports.
Reviews general ledger to ensure proper recording and allocation of the expense for each contract, grant and program. Collaborates with Finance and Programs to make necessary adjustments as needed.
Works with Finance to ensure proper recording of contract and grant revenue and other program income under the supervision of VP of FPNA
Keeps tracking and reconciles contract receivables, refundable advances, and temp restricted revenues under the supervision of VP of FPNA
Maintain master contract and grant list and master program budget under the supervision of AP of FPNA
Under the direction of VP of FPNA, prepares variety of financial reports and analysis to support program operation and senior management decision making
Assists with funder audits and annual year-end audit under the supervision of AP of FPNA

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirement(s)

Applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or relevant field combined with experience. Experience in federal, New York State and New York City grants/contracts administration preferred.

Our Life is Precious™ Program, which opened in 2008, provides non-clinical services to girls’ ages 12 to 17 in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Poughkeepsie, Yonkers, Hempstead, and Amsterdam. Activities include academic support, creative arts therapies, music lessons, wellness activities and concrete family services, are designed to reduce the risk factors associated with Latina adolescent suicide.
