The Human Resource Recruiter will work under the supervision of the Human Resources Director in the recruitment of staff. They will develop recruitment and staffing plans through social media, employer branding and outreach, strategically posting vacancies on job boards and related media, attending job fairs and developing relationships with colleges, workforce developers, and recruitment search firms and networking events. This position is eligible for a generous benefit package including health insurance, dental, vision, dependent care, paid time off including 4 weeks of vacation starting in the first year, 401(k), tuition assistance program and more.
Responsibilities
Manage the website and Applicant Tracking System to ensure that vacant positions are posted and updated; applicant dispositions are tracked and followed up on, and status and outcomes are measured and reported.
Expertise in social media platforms, job boards and with track record of make recommendations to improve visibility and branding.
Provide information on programs, benefits and opportunities to applicants and communicate to program managers on candidates in the pipeline as well as maintain a database of qualified applicants to decrease time it takes to hire.
Screen over the phone and thoroughly assess in person applicants (KSA's, salary expectations, experience, and credentials) and refer qualified applicants to hiring managers for panel and individual interviews.
Spend up to 50% of time at field/program offices or at job fairs and networking events to participate in hiring/selection process and enhance employer brand.
QualificationsQualifications
BA in any HR or marketing related field
Three to five years of HR recruitment experience working for a not for profit organization with similar programs and clients is a plus.

A majority of our housing clients have a history of homelessness and/or long-term hospitalizations. Many are living with mental illness, HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses. Comunilife has 2,829 apartments/units in 13 supportive residences, 3 low-income apartment buildings and 1,068 scatter site apartments in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. Our Medical Respite program provides short-term supportive housing and case management services to multiply-challenged patients leaving hospital care without a viable home in which to recuperate.
Comunilife is a leader in the field of Latina adolescent suicide prevention. Our Life is Precious™ Program, which opened in 2008, provides non-clinical services to girls’ ages 12 to 17 in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Poughkeepsie, Yonkers, Hempstead, and Amsterdam. Activities include academic support, creative arts therapies, music lessons, wellness activities and concrete family services, are designed to reduce the risk factors associated with Latina adolescent suicide.
