TITOL™ is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Product Development Assistant to support the development and execution of artist and brand merchandise across a variety of product categories. This role will work closely with Creative, Technical Design, Project Management, Production, and external vendor partners to bring concepts from mockup to reality.


The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of apparel and merchandise production, decoration techniques, materials, and manufacturing processes. They are highly organized, solutions-oriented, and excited to be hands-on throughout the product development lifecycle—from initial concept through sampling and production.

 

Working Environment:

In-office 5 days/week with occasional travel or on-site support required. May involve weekend or extended hours during peak seasons. Very fast-paced and detail-driven environment, with a focus on problem-solving, managing multiple parallel projects, and re-prioritizing tasks as necessary.

\nWhat You'll Do

Product Development & Execution

  • Support the development of merchandise from concept through production, ensuring products are feasible, cost-effective, and aligned with creative intent.

  • Review creative concepts and mockups and provide recommendations on materials, decoration methods, construction, and manufacturing approaches.

  • Collaborate with Creative and Technical Design teams to help translate product ideas into production-ready specifications.

  • Assist in identifying potential production challenges early and propose practical solutions.

Vendor & Factory Partnership

  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, manufacturers, print shops, dye houses, embroidery facilities, and other production partners.

  • Travel regularly to vendor facilities to review samples, monitor production quality, troubleshoot issues, and strengthen manufacturing partnerships.

  • Serve as a key point of contact between internal teams and external partners throughout development and sampling.

Sampling & Product Tracking

  • Coordinate and track product samples throughout the development process.

  • Maintain visibility into sample status, revisions, approvals, and outstanding feedback.

  • Help ensure sample iterations are progressing according to project timelines and development goals.

  • Organize and maintain physical and digital sample archives for future reference.

Production Support

  • Support the broader Production and Product Development teams with day-to-day project needs and workflow management.

  • Assist in maintaining development calendars, milestone tracking, and key deadlines.

  • Help coordinate communication and handoffs between Creative, Technical Design, Production, and vendors.

  • Ensure project information, specifications, and approvals are accurately documented and communicated.

Product & Manufacturing Expertise

  • Maintain working knowledge of apparel construction, garment development, and merchandise production processes.

  • Possess a strong understanding of decoration techniques including screen printing, embroidery, appliqué, patches, woven labels, DTG, sublimation, puff print, specialty inks, dyes, washes, and garment finishing techniques.

  • Advise internal teams on production capabilities, manufacturing limitations, and opportunities for product innovation.

  • Stay informed on new materials, decoration methods, and industry trends.

Sourcing & Vendor Development

  • Source garment blanks, materials, trims, packaging, and specialty vendors to support new product development.

  • Identify manufacturing partners capable of executing unique products, decoration techniques, and custom applications.

  • Recommend sourcing solutions that balance design intent, quality, lead times, and budget requirements.

  • Stay informed on new products, materials, decoration methods, and vendor capabilities to support ongoing product innovation.

Who You Are
  • 2–4 years of experience in product development, production, sourcing, merchandising, or a related field.

  • Working knowledge of apparel manufacturing, garment construction, and product development processes.

  • Familiarity with apparel decoration techniques, dyes, washes, and specialty production methods.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

  • Comfortable traveling regularly to vendor, factory, and production partner locations.

  • Experience within apparel, consumer products, music merchandising, entertainment, or related industries preferred.

The Pay Range, which consists of salary and commission, for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
