Job Summary:
Tim Hortons lead hand is responsible to ensure all standards are met. Responsibilities include maintaining the floor, logs, food safety standards, monitoring shift performance, addressing issues, and assisting with training, staffing, and overall team support.
The hourly wage rate for this position is $20.16. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We are committed to offering competitive compensation and comply with all applicable pay transparency legislation. Further details regarding our total rewards offerings will be shared by the Talent Acquisition team during the hiring process. Canadian work experience is not a requirement for this role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Assigning and adjusting station deployment based on operational needs.
- Ensuring all required food safety, temperature, cleaning, and operational logs are completed accurately and on time.
- Conducting floor assessments throughout the shift to ensure Tim Hortons brand standards, food safety standards, and customer service expectations are being met.
- Reviewing shift handoffs and ensuring all tasks from the previous shift have been completed, while communicating and escalating any outstanding concerns to supervisors or management.
- Recording and communicating operational concerns, employee incidents, customer complaints, coaching opportunities, and other workplace situations requiring follow-up.
- Assisting with shift coverage when employees call in sick by communicating with team members and supporting staffing efforts.
- Identifying operational bottlenecks and jumping into any station as needed to support the team and maintain service levels.
- Supporting training, coaching, and development of associates while promoting accountability and teamwork.
- Acting as a professional role model and fostering respectful communication amongst team members.
- Escalating employee relations concerns, safety issues, food safety concerns, and operational challenges to management when appropriate.
About you:
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a quick-service restaurant (QSR) or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and health and safety standards.
- Ability to lead, coach, and support team members in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to professionally address employee and customer concerns.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and adjust to changing operational needs.
- Ability to monitor quality, maintain brand standards, and complete required operational documentation accurately.
- Flexible and willing to support shift coverage and work in any station as required.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Ability to work collaboratively while fostering a positive, respectful, and accountable team environment.
