Quakertown Veterinary Clinic is a busy 24-hour hospital providing comprehensive general practice and emergency care under one roof. Our team treats a diverse range of patients—from dogs and cats to exotics, equine, and farm animals—giving technicians the opportunity to expand their clinical skills while working alongside experienced veterinarians in both routine and urgent care.
We're seeking a Veterinary Technician who enjoys a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and is passionate about providing exceptional patient care.

Second Shift Veterinary Technician – General Practice & Emergency
Available schedules include:
- 12:00 PM – 12:00 AM
- 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM
- 2:00 PM – 2:00 AM
What You'll Do
As a member of our clinical team, you'll support both our General Practice and Emergency services, providing high-quality patient care throughout each shift.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist veterinarians with wellness visits, sick appointments, and emergency cases
- Collect laboratory samples and perform venipuncture
- Place and maintain IV catheters
- Administer medications and treatments
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
- Obtain diagnostic radiographs and other imaging
- Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients
- Assist with emergency triage and patient stabilization
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Communicate with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans
- Support both small animal and occasional large animal cases
- Practice Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques whenever possible
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a veterinary hospital setting
- Experience in general practice required; emergency experience is a plus
- CVT, LVT, or RVT credentials preferred but not required
- Strong technical and patient care skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Availability to work rotating weekends and holidays
