About the Role:

The Technician Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting veterinary technicians in providing high-quality care to animals. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience or formal training as a veterinary assistant or in animal care.
• Basic knowledge of animal handling and safety protocols.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification as a Veterinary Assistant (e.g., Approved Veterinary Assistant - AVA).
• Experience with medical record management software.

• CPR and first aid certification for animals.
• Experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal shelter.

Responsibilities:

• Assist veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Prepare and restrain animals safely and humanely for various medical procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of examination rooms, surgical areas, and equipment.
• Monitor and record vital signs and behavior of animals under care.
• Provide compassionate care and comfort to animals, including feeding, exercising, and grooming as needed.

• Manage inventory of medical supplies and ensure proper storage and handling.
• Support administrative tasks such as maintaining patient records and processing payments.
