Groomer
About this role
Colony Park Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced groomer passionate about pet care. As a groomer at Colony Park, you will work to communicate with clients each time they visit to advise them of the services recommended for their pet and ensure they leave with a freshly pampered pet. This is a part time position based off commission earnings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine grooming services such as bathing, brushing, hair cuts, and nail trims for various pets
- Ensure the safety and comfort of pets throughout the grooming process.
- Maintain cleanliness of the grooming area and equipment
- Communicate with pet owners to understand their specific preferences and requests
- Provide exceptional customer service to build a trusting relationship with clients while their pets are in our care
- Check in clients and coordinate with medical team to ensure patients receive required veterinary services as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a pet groomer with proficiency in various grooming techniques for various dogs and cats
- Knowledgeable about pet behavior and handling techniques to provide a positive patient experience
- Excellent communication skills to work with pet owners and hospital team members
- Ability to endure standing and walking for long periods of time, as well as lifting up to 50lbs
- Able to work in noisy conditions with sounds from other animals and various equipment
