Good Shepherd Pet Hospital is looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team in Odessa, FL.

We’re a busy companion animal practice serving the Odessa and greater Tampa community, and we believe veterinary technicians are an essential part of providing exceptional patient care. What You’ll Do

As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll work closely with our veterinarians and support team throughout all areas of patient care, including:

  • Performing venipuncture and placing IV catheters

  • Assisting veterinarians with appointments, treatments, and diagnostic procedures

  • Preparing patients for surgical and dental procedures

  • Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with patient recovery

  • Administering medications, vaccines, fluids, and treatments as directed

  • Taking digital radiographs and assisting with diagnostic imaging

  • Collecting and processing laboratory samples

  • Providing safe and compassionate patient restraint

  • Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment notes

  • Reviewing discharge instructions and communicating with clients about patient care

  • Helping maintain an organized and efficient treatment area and hospital workflow

What We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is confident in their veterinary technician skills and ready to contribute to a busy clinical team.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • At least 2 years of veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience

  • Experience with blood draws and IV catheter placement

  • Knowledge of surgical preparation and anesthesia monitoring

  • Strong patient handling and restraint skills

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • A positive, team-oriented approach to patient and client care

  • Availability to participate in a rotating Saturday schedule
