Within our Diversion Services program is the Forensic Housing and Recovery through Peer Services, better known as our FHARPS team. FHARPS is a forensic housing program that complements our other (3) Diversion Programs – OCRP, FPATH & LINC. They will work to house people involved in the legal system with the goal of reducing recidivism of people cycling in and out of incarceration, working especially with Trueblood class members. FHARPS works closely with Forensic Navigators who are officers of the King County Court system.
Our Diversion Services team has an outstanding opening for an FHARPS Engagement Specialist.
Our FHARPS Case Manager will work as part of the FHARPS team to provide outpatient behavioral services and community support to their clients. This position is responsible for providing treatment and care coordination based on client needs and the treatment plan, progress notes, and collaborative reviews for the assigned caseload, as well as support to all clients served as part of the care team.

SCHEDULE
9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday (Full-Time, 35 hours/week)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Go into the King County Jails to engage potential new FHARPS clients in the program; answer any questions and ideally get “buy-in” for the program
Work independently working closely with the King County Forensic Navigators & Diversion Navigators in and out of the jail system
Complete intake documentation as needed
Serve as the face of FHARPS to potential clients.
Outreach to encampments, street-based, or other community-based locations
In-reach to jails, hospitals, participant housing, and/or other facilities where participants may frequent
Locate, build rapport, and enroll new FHARPS referrals
Locate and re-engage enrolled FHARPS participants who are out of contact with the FHARPS team
Tracking active and inactive referrals and coordinating with FHARPS teams
Provide immediate crisis intervention and resolution as needed
Coordinate client needs such as appointments, engagement with community support networks, vocational services, or other applicable needs
Must be able to work effectively in a team environment and the ability to collaborate effectively with external partners including Forensic Navigators and Diversion Navigators and other legal entities
Understanding the importance of clear, professional boundaries
Assist with transporting clients to intake appointments
Attend all team/staff/community/agency meetings and interact in a collaborative, professional, and constructive manner
Timely completion of required documentation to program standards
Adhere to HIPAA/Confidentiality standards
Other duties as assigned
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in social services related field
Have legible handwriting
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record for use of agency vehicles
Experience with target population or ability to acquire specialized training to work with target population
Basic understanding of the criminal justice system
Sensitivity to multi-cultural populations and issues
Must be eligible and able to attain Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor License and an H-Badge from King County (jail entry)
Ability to perform duties outlined in description within reasonable accommodation
