Job Description

Currently, we are looking for a R&D Lighting Project Leader in Liège, Belgium who will be responsible of photometrical buildings blocks project and its integration inside a luminaire.

You will report to the Electronic & Lighting Manager of the R&D department.

What you will do :

  • Mechanization and Integration:

Oversee the mechanization and integration of optic parts into lighting fixtures, considering factors such as thermal management, manufacturing characteristic.

Collaborate with mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of optical components with other system elements.

  • Optical System Design:

Develop and optimize optical systems for outdoor lighting, emphasizing efficiency, durability, and aesthetic considerations.

Utilize photometry techniques to analyse and improve light distribution, ensuring optimal visibility and energy efficiency.

  • Project Management:

Lead and manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including optical engineers, mechanical engineers, designers, and technicians, to achieve project goals.

  • Innovation and Research:

Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in photometry and optics.

Drive continuous improvement by researching and implementing innovative solutions to enhance outdoor lighting performance.

Skills Requested

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Autonomous, Rigorous, Creative, Communicant, Team spirit
  • Knowledge in optics/photometry & LED technology is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Solidworks) for mechanical integration and design.
  • Language :  English (B2 Min), French
