KIDS & TEENS TEAM
About this role
The Kids & Teens Team members are responsible for creating, hosting and providing a wonderful and unforgettable holiday experience for our youngest guests. This is delivered all within state-of-the-art facilities, allowing children to enjoy various activities, socialize, learn, and grow in a safe and engaging environment.
You would be working in the tailored Kids & Teens areas our “Sailors Shore” and “Teen Escape” where we will provide safe, fun filled and age appropriate activities for children aged between 6mnths – 2 (The Nursery) 3-6 (The Dreamers), 7-12 (The Explorers), 9-17 (Teens Club) years old.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring the safety and supervision of all children participating in our activity programme.
- Follow and implement all AROYA Cruise Saudi ship Policies and Procedures as outlined in the Company/Ships Manual.
- Adhere to all Safeguarding policies and procedures and report any concerns immediately.
- Lead, host and develop on our activities that are outlined in the Activity Programme. Meeting and where possible exceeding our guest expectations.
- Learn and deliver our additional family Activities, helping to achieve onboard revenue targets.
- Complete guest embark and debark duties as directed by the Kids & Teens Manager
- Ensuring that the Kids and Teens areas are kept safe and hygienic, that the areas are cleaned & organised as per standards established at the end of each shift.
- Be a good positive role model and ensure a safe cruise experience for young guests.
- Communicate with parents/Guardians in a positive and professional manner.
- Assist in the planning, implementation and development of our kids and teens activity programme offering.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES:
- Partake in inspections, trainings and meetings as required by Head of Department
- Abiding by rules and regulations set by AROYA Cruise Saudi and/or ship’s command and attend all training programs as specified by SCL (including all inspections, safety drills & training exercises, Environmental Training and Corporate Training Programmes).
- Participate in embarkation and emergency procedures
- Ensure that delivery standards are upheld, and SOPs followed for all activities
- Demonstrate the Aroya Values.
- Provide ‘Remarkably Arabian’ Experiences every day for Guests and Colleagues

SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Full & relevant level 3 diploma in childcare & education or a degree in an educational field or PGCE with QTS (or equivalent) International equivalent to degree or level 3 Diploma
- 1+ year practical experience working with kids/teens after achieving your relevant childcare qualification
- Safeguarding knowledge
- Clear DBS/Police check national and international
- Proven people skills along with conflict resolution, counselling, mediating and motivational skills.
- All certificates as required by the STCW code for this position.
- Good command of the English Language, knowledge of the Arabic language is beneficial.
