Required Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Project Planning, Production Planning, Master Scheduling, or Supply Chain Planning.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining production schedules in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in demand planning, capacity planning, inventory management, and material forecasting.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing large datasets and transforming data into actionable business insights.
  • Extensive experience creating reports, dashboards, KPIs, and management presentations.
  • Experience supporting executive decision-making through data analysis and performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project & Production Planning
    • Develop and maintain integrated project and production schedules to support customer delivery requirements.
    • Coordinate production, procurement, inventory, and logistics activities to ensure schedule adherence.
    • Monitor schedule performance and proactively identify risks, delays, and resource constraints.
    • Manage capacity planning activities and recommend adjustments to support demand fluctuations.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Analyze production, inventory, and supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and performance metrics for management review.
    • Generate weekly and monthly reports on production performance, inventory levels, schedule attainment, material shortages, and operational KPIs.
    • Support business decisions through detailed data analysis and forecasting models.

Technical Competencies

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, Power Query, Conditional Formatting, Data Validation, Complex Formulas, Macros/VBA (preferred), Dashboard Development, Ability to analyze large datasets and create executive-level reports and visualizations.

Other Tools: Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar, Basic experience with Power BI.

Soft Skills

  • Problem-solving: Rapid troubleshooting mindset for complex global logistics bottlenecks.
  • Communication: Translating dense datasets into strategic, plain-language insights for company executives.
  • Negotiation: Comfort collaborating with third-party vendors on pricing and lead times.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification preferred.
  • PMP certification is a plus.

 

Compensation: The estimated base pay range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on qualifications, experience, education, and other job-related factors. This range represents Cohu’s good faith estimate of what it reasonably expects to pay for this role upon hire. This role may also be eligible for other compensation programs as determined by company policy.
