We are looking for a Logistics Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the planning, coordination, and execution of logistics operations, ensuring efficient transportation, customs compliance, and cost-effective supply chain performance.

Impact You Will Make

Tactical:

• Report on logistics costs and performance for his area of responsibility

• Define and implement optimum Asian logistics scheme

• Propose Asian logistics scheme to optimize transportation cost, inventory level, while maintaining service level

• Conduct sourcing process to select optimal local freight forwarders

• Coordinate implementation with freight forwarder, suppliers and (Lead) Buyer

• Define and implement shipping organization, process and standards, including packing standards, safety standards and forklift maintenance

• Manage all issues related to customs regulations:

• Manage application and renewal of LMW License

• Fulfil LMW requirements regarding customs clearance and exemptions

• Prepare and submit all necessary customs reports in compliance to statutory requirements

• 
  Operational

  • Plan and supervise shipments while ensuring compliance with delivery planning safety standards, and customs regulations

  • Liaise with internal departments, customers, suppliers, crating sub-contractor and freight forwarders to plan crating and shipments

  • Ensure completion of administrative tasks (invoice, delivery documents, customs declaration required by import / export, …)

  • Follow-up deliveries and launch corrective actions in case of transportation issue

  • Organize Waste Management for metal scrap and crates disposal

  • Facilitate stock take inclusive reconciliation report preparation and adjustment request

  • Sauber team driver

Our Ideal Candidate

• Education: Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master's Degree, Logistics/Transportation, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.

• Experience:  Open for fresh graduates or Minimum of 2 years working experience in Logistics/Warehouse/Transportation /Supply Chain Management in a manufacturing environment is required.

• Skills/Technical Requirements: 

  • Good knowledge in logistics, customs formalities, air/sea freight and warehouse management.

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills  with an emphasis in MS Office including.

  • Access, Excel and Power Point.

  • Analytical background , persistent and responsive.

  • Good basic math skills.

  • Knowledge of statistics, query and reporting.
