Job Description
York Prep School is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic Assistant Varsity Girls Soccer Coach for the Fall 2026 season. This is an excellent opportunity for a coach who is passionate about developing student-athletes, supporting a competitive varsity program, and contributing to a positive team culture.
Practices: Mon - Thur 3:30-5
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Coach with practice planning and execution
- Help teach soccer fundamentals, tactical concepts, and game strategy
- Support players' athletic and personal development
- Assist with game-day preparation and sideline coaching
- Supervise student-athletes and maintain a safe, positive environment
- Lead portions of practice and manage sessions independently when necessary
- Serve as a positive role model and representative of the school
Qualifications
- Previous soccer playing and/or coaching experience preferred
- Experience working with middle school or high school athletes is a plus
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to take initiative and lead a training session when the Head Coach is unavailable
- Passion for mentorship and youth development

They should be comfortable assisting with all aspects of the program and stepping into a leadership role when needed to ensure practices run smoothly.
