Horseshoe Bar Cocktail Server Fulltime Swing Shift

FUNCTION:

Responsible for providing excellent service to all guests while taking and serving beverage orders. Handle all financial transactions accurately. Perform all duties in accordance with Nugget Casino Resort policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Greet and welcome all guests in a pleasant and professional manner.
2. Provide timely beverage service in a friendly and courteous manner. 
3. Anticipate guest needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency. 
4. Keep assigned areas clean and empty of glasses and bottles. 
5. Perform all side-work at assigned station. 
6. Constantly look for service opportunities and increase revenue with up-selling techniques. 
7. Respond to and resolve guest complaints when able. 
8. Answer guest questions and be knowledgeable about property events and attractions.
9. Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to departmental, and company policies.
10. Address guest concerns and or complaints in a timely and professional manner
11. Regular predictable attendance is required.
12. Using the Nugget’s system of recognition, recognize team members who are going “above and beyond.”
13. Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
14. Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike. 
15. Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.  
16. Always maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
17. Regular predictable attendance is required.
18. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:    Beverage Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Must be at least 21 years of age. 

. 

EDUCATION LEVEL:

High School diploma or equivalent is required. 

LANGUAGE:

Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language. 

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 1 year of previous beverage server experience required. 

SPECIAL SKILLS:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Ability to walk, stand, or sit for long periods of time.

Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.

Fine finger manipulation. 

Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.

Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

Alcohol Awareness Certification is required.
