CMA CGM Canada is recruiting for 6-month intern/stage to join the Montreal Sales Support team working 40 hours/ week. A great opportunity for new graduates who are quick to learn, interested in logistics and who are customer centric to join our dynamic team.

POSITION SUMMARY

 

  • Prepare and provide pricing proposals to customers managed by the Outside/Specialised Sales. Engage with customers and pricing teams to ensure clear communication and follow up as needed. Provide support on commercial matters to the sales department and coordinate sales-related information to facilitate smooth operations and invoicing.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  • Follow up on quotations sent, expiring, not booked, or lost, and take appropriate action
  • Support & guide Customers to effectively use of MyPrices, CMA CGM’s digital tool for quotations.
  • Maintain quotes and business support to the Customer portfolios mapped to the Outside/Specalized Sales and to new customers via the Sales mailbox along with incoming calls 
  • Make proactive telephone sales calls to follow up with customers on quotations sent to Customers without bookings, including CMA CGM Liner and CMA CGM + services.
  • Update CRM with all required information and relevant details with follow-up feedback for Customers.  
  • Coordinate closely with Trade / Pricers to ensure consistent business support to Customers as required commercially. 
  • Promote CMA CGM Group Services including Non-Maritime Products (CMA CGM + or VAS, Intermodal, E-commerce, CEVA, etc..)
  • Contribute to dispute resolution and liaise with Pricers & Customer Care on freight and DDSM claims
  • Propose volume potential & new opportunities to the Outside Sales & Specialised Sales team as and when we receive interesting leads or new Customers that need to be prospected.
  • Collect market information on the competition’s activities regarding rates, new & existing services, and submit to your respective, Pricer / Trade Manager / Reporting Manager on a consistent basis. 
  • Promote improved partnerships and best practices when closing deals with customers: Long term agreements / Mutual commitments / Match back programs / Value added services.
  • \Work closely with customers, internal departments and overseas as partners in resolving issues and creating strong relationships.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education:  College degree or equivalent (Transportation courses/schooling an asset)

 

  • Experience: 2 years of experience in the shipping industry

 

  • Other:
    • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
    • Attention to detail, well versed in ALL Microsoft Windows based programs
    • Strong team player with ability to work independently
    • Ability to multi task time and prioritize time sensitive issues
    • Bilingual, French and English
