About the Role

We are seeking an Associate with between 1-2 years post qualification experience to join a thriving, motivated team under the leadership of well-respected Partner Jehan-Philippe Wood.

JP's broad practice covers professional indemnity, D&O claims, property damage, public liability, contentious regulatory, commercial litigation and investigations work.

The nature and size of the team will mean that you are heavily involved in all aspects of matters allowing you to make a significant contribution to their outcome.

About You

This is an exciting opportunity to work with an energetic team on a wide range of interesting matters. You will have a strong foundation and come from a litigation background, gained within private practice, and be able to point to your strong performance to date. Although not essential, you may also have some insurance related experience.

We're looking for an ambitious lawyer who enjoys working as part of a dynamic and collaborative team with the following experience:

  • General insurance litigation, professional indemnity, D&O claims, property damage, public liability, contentious regulatory experience is preferred.
  • Strong academic credentials, self-driven with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills, as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Commercial awareness and confidence in building a rapport with clients to gain a better understanding of their business' needs and with the assistance of the partner, actively developing these client relationships.
