Cluey Learning Online Tutoring - Sydney CBD, must be willing to relocate to Sydney
You're not cold calling. Ever.
Every person you speak to is a warm lead has already filled in an enquiry form, and expects a call back, because their child needs help with their schoolwork.
Your role is to engage with the parent via the phone, and through a consultative discovery process, assist the parent with making the right decision to support their child’s learning needs – catch up, keep up or excel.
No lists. No gatekeepers. No pitching people who never asked to hear from you.
What you'll be selling
Tutoring and academic support for students in Years 2 through 12, across English, Maths and the Sciences. You're not selling a product off a sheet. You're consulting parents on what their child actually needs i.e. where the gaps are, what's driving the drop in marks or confidence, what support will move the needle, and what it will take to help them excel.
The numbers
OTE $110,000–$120,000 - uncapped commission
Top performers earn beyond OTE ($140K+). No ceiling!
Commission paid monthly, and you'll always know exactly where you stand through the month
The role
Join our Learning Advisor Team (~25 people). You'll make ~100 outbound calls a day to warm enquiries. You'll run genuine discovery, handle real objections, and process payment on the call. Our services require upfront payments and an ongoing commitment, so this is a considered decision for a family, and you'll need to be able to hold a conversation through to payment.
You'll be measured on conversions and your enrolment performance against target, and you'll know your numbers daily. If that sounds like a competitive environment, it is - the people who love this role check the leaderboard before they check their email!
What we're looking for
12+ months in B2C phone or direct sales. If you've come from solar, telco, insurance, comparison sites, education, tutoring or a third-party outbound agency, you'll recognise this environment immediately
Prior experience with taking payment yourself i.e. card details, deposits, direct debits, as part of the conversation, not passed to someone else to finalise
The ability to run a discovery process and handle objections without discounting your way out of them
You've worked to real metrics. You know what your daily dial target was and whether you hit it or not
You have experience working with CRM systems and following proven processes
You're driven by what you earn, and you can tell us what you're working towards
You back yourself. You're comfortable facing objections and have the resilience to picking up the phone again for the next lead enquiry
Coaching or sports background ? Many of our successful hires are people from competitive team environments - the habits transfer
Must have full working rights in Australia
Tutoring, teaching or coaching experience is a genuine plus here - you'll be talking to parents about their kids every day, and it helps to know what good learning support actually looks like. But first and foremost, this is a sales role.
