We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Technical Manager to join our Product team and lead the Garment Technology function.

This is a key role within the business, responsible for supporting and developing the technical team, maintaining high technical standards and continually improving the way we develop and deliver product.

We’re looking for someone who is product obsessed – someone with a great eye for product, strong technical expertise and a real understanding of what makes a garment fit, feel and look right. A big focus of the role will be product quality and reducing returns, using technical expertise, customer feedback and data to continually improve our product.

  • Set clear objectives and KPIs, supporting the team with coaching, development and day-to-day guidance.

  • Act as the technical specialist across the Product team, with a strong eye for fit, construction and overall product quality.

  • Maintain and develop Club L London's technical standards across all products.

  • Work closely with Design, Product, Production and suppliers to ensure the product looks and feels right, as well as meeting technical standards.

  • Review returns data and customer feedback to identify key product issues and opportunities to improve.

  • Drive initiatives to reduce fit, construction and quality-related returns and ensure learnings are fed into future product development.

  • Identify, lead and implement projects that develop and improve the Technical department.

  • Oversee technical milestones as part of the critical path, ensuring key deadlines are achieved.

  • Review and improve technical processes to make the team more efficient and consistent.

  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and work collaboratively to improve technical and product performance.

About You

  • Previous experience in a Technical Manager/Garment Technology Manager role within fashion retail

  • Strong technical knowledge across fit, garment construction, measurements, grading and quality.

  • An understanding of testing and compliance is essential.

  • Experience managing, developing and motivating a technical team.

  • Strong understanding of the fashion product development process and critical path.

  • Analytical and comfortable working with data, KPIs and returns insights.

  • A naturally organised and process-driven approach.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and an eye for detail

  • Confident working with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
