Cypress Automation Engineer

Job Title: Cypress Automation Engineer (Playwright Knowledge Preferred)
Experience: 2–5 Years

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Automation Test Engineer with strong expertise in Cypress and working knowledge of Playwright. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Cypress
  
• Design end-to-end test scenarios for web applications
  
• Design end-to-end test scenarios for Mobile applications
  
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and business teams to understand requirements
  
• Integrate automation scripts into CI/CD pipelines
  
• Perform API testing and validate backend services.
  
• Debug and analyze test failures and provide detailed reports
  
• Ensure test coverage and improve automation framework efficiency
  
• Contribute to test strategy and best practices
  

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Cypress
  
• Proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScript
  
• Experience with UI[Web, Mob] and API automation testing
  
• Knowledge of Git and version control systems
  
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  
• Strong debugging and analytical skills
  

Good to Have (Added Advantage)

• Hands-on experience or exposure to Playwright
  
• Experience with Page Object Model (POM) framework design
  
• Knowledge of cross-browser testing strategies
  
• Familiarity with cloud testing platforms (BrowserStack, Sauce Labs)
  
• Experience in performance or security testing is a plus
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
  
• Relevant certifications in testing/automation are a plus
