Founding Engineer Intern

Clera is a fast-growing AI startup reimagining how top talents find their next dream jobs. As a Founding Engineer Intern, you’ll work directly with our CTO to ship features daily and help build a fully agentic system that automates headhunting end-to-end. This role places you at the heart of rapid experimentation, in LatAm hacker-house setups, with real ownership and high-impact outcomes.

What youll do

• Build and ship features daily alongside our CTO to automate the headhunting process end-to-end.
• Own end-to-end development from ideation to production for core Clera features.
• Collaborate with the founding team to design and ship components of our agentic system.
• Talk to users and measure impact on hiring speed to drive iteration.
• Thrive in a founder-paced, high-output environment with daily feedback loops.

What Clera is looking for

• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to own end-to-end features from ideation to production.
• Demonstrated outstanding profile (e.g., strong projects, active GitHub).
• At least 6 months of experience with TypeScript and at least 6 months with React.
• Experience with Cursor, Supabase, Prisma, and Typesense in a production React/TypeScript stack.
• Currently enrolled in or pursuing a computer science, software engineering, or related degree program.
• Portfolio or sample projects demonstrating full-stack development and open-source contributions.
• Full-stack focus; not an ML engineer and not overly specialized in a single language like Python or C++.
• Willing to work 7 days/week and open to working in hackerhouses in LatAm.
• Has worked in entrepreneurial, hacky environments.
