Founding Engineer Intern
About this role
A fast-growing AI startup where you’ll build and ship features daily alongside our CTO, helping to automate the headhunting process end-to-end. You’ll own the frontend and backend components, contribute to a high-velocity, founder-driven culture, and directly impact how Clera becomes the default way people find their next jobs.
What youll do
- Build and ship end-to-end features to production on a daily cadence.
- Collaborate closely with the CTO and founding team to own components from ideation to deployment.
- Develop and iterate on a fully agentic system to automate headhunting end-to-end.
- Engage with users to measure impact on hiring speed and experience.
- Contribute to a fast, high-output, low-ego engineering culture.
- Work in a hacker-house/remote-forward setup with a strong ownership mindset.
What Clera is looking for
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to own end-to-end features from ideation to production.
- Has standout credentials or projects (e.g., top GPA, strong university, notable projects, active GitHub).
- Experience with Cursor, Supabase, Prisma, and Typesense in a production React/TypeScript stack.
- Currently enrolled in or pursuing a computer science, software engineering, or related degree program.
- Willing to work 7 days per week and open to working in hackerhouses in LatAm.
- Portfolio or sample projects demonstrating full-stack development and open-source contributions.
- At least 6 months of experience in TypeScript and in React.
- Full-stack focus preferred; not primarily an ML engineer or heavily siloed in one tech stack (e.g., Python, C++, etc.).
- Experience working in entrepreneurial or hacky environments.
Clera is hiring for a Founding Engineer Intern to help redefine how top talents find their next dream jobs. If these requirements align, we’d love to talk.
