AI Engineers

Clera is hiring AI Engineers to solve two core technical challenges: building a backend that scales and optimizing LLM/AI agent flows that power the product. You’ll join a fast-moving engineering team where these efforts directly impact platform performance and user experience.

What youll do

• Own two main technical challenges: backend scalability and AI agent/LLM flow optimization.
• Design and implement backend systems and services that operate at scale.
• Tune and iterate on LLM integrations and agent orchestration to improve reliability and efficiency.

What Clera is looking for

• Must be able to work in Stockholm; candidates should be eligible to work in Sweden (visa considerations may apply).
• Compensation range: $80–120k USD plus equity, with flexibility for exceptionally senior candidates and a negotiable salary/equity mix.
• Strong backend engineering experience building systems for scale.
• Hands-on experience optimizing LLMs and AI agent flows in production environments.
• Proven track record of coding and shipping software over time; practical experience is valued over formal credentials.
• Strong side-project portfolio that demonstrates technical depth and sustained curiosity.
• Demonstrated ownership, high agency, and intentional career choices that reflect commitment to craft.
• Experience at fast-growing startups preferred; Clera is open to hiring 1–2 very senior, startup-motivated engineers.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced team that maintains an ongoing hiring mindset.
