About the Role
The Temporary Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) Collector / Benefits Eligibility & Authorization Coordinator supports the Revenue Cycle team by ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement through diligent follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable and effective coordination of insurance eligibility verification. This role plays a critical part in the healthcare billing cycle and requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities
Monitor and manage accounts receivable portfolio to ensure timely collection of payments
Follow up with clients via phone, email, and online portals
Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and Remittance Advices (RAs) for discrepancies and address them promptly
Accurately document collection activity and payment statuses in the billing system
Collaborate with team members to resolve outstanding balances
Meet or exceed monthly collection targets and KPIs
Verify insurance eligibility and assist with eligibility system setup
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and healthcare regulations
Maintain organized and accurate records of billing and eligibility documentation

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1–3 years of experience in medical collections, billing, or revenue cycle management (preferred)
Strong attention to detail, customer service, and communication skills
Familiarity with Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), Remittance Advices (RAs), and insurance verification processes
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare regulations
