Right now, we are
looking for a Workplace Services Engineer L2 [USA resident living in Portugal] to integrate our
internal team, based in Lisbon.
Your responsibilities
include:
- Keep end-user computing estate running to SLA — packaging, deploying, patching and resolving incidents on desktops, laptops and virtual desktops, following defined standards and procedures.
- Package & deploy — Build and publish standard software packages (MSI/EXE) to the software/company portal from defined packaging standards; execute mass deployments and re-imaging.
- Patch operations — Run OS, driver and Microsoft security/critical patch cycles per the patching plan, meeting the 98% patch-compliance SLA.
- Configuration execution — Deploy workstation configurations, GPOs and Wi-Fi/printing agents via SCCM/Intune to L3 design; operate BitLocker key recovery, LAPS and Microsoft Defender agent health.
- Incident & service request handling (ITIL) — Resolve incidents and service requests within runbooks; reconcile before closure (nothing closed “Resolved” without successful reconciliation); escalate complex or non-standard cases to L3 with full context.
- CMDB & inventory — Keep HW/SW inventory and the CMDB (ServiceNow) accurate; produce SCCM/Intune status reports.
- Cross-team enablement — Enable EUFS and other providers for domain join, local installs and console access; perform remote installations and configurations.
- Applied scripting — Run and adapt existing PowerShell scripts for routine tasks.
You must have:
- ~2–4 years in EUC / endpoint operations
- SCCM + Intune (operate), Windows client OS, Entra ID (Azure AD) fundamentals,
- Scripting: PowerShell (run/adapt)
- Certifications: ITIL v4 Foundations
- USA Resident living in Portugal
We value:
- Certifications: MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator); progressing toward
the Microsoft endpoint baseline, experience with ServiceNow.
