JOB SUMMARY

JOB SUMMARY:

Under immediate supervision performs preventative maintenance on carts and ensures carts are available for rental. Performs janitorial duties in clubhouse as directed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on carts such as changing flats, checking batteries for water and cleaning carts
  • Maintain necessary records on maintenance performed.
  • Clean carts following each use and make daily inspections of carts for damage.
  • Drive carts to clubhouse for rental and return to cart garage for night storage.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Knowledge of basic electricity
  • Knowledge of small engines
  • Skill in communicating with other city employees and the public
  • Skill in performing routine custodial duties
  • Ability to follow specific oral instructions
  • Ability to perform a variety of physical skills including, but not limited to, carrying, cleaning, kneeling, lifting, seeing and walking
  • Ability to operate a variety of equipment including, but not limited to, golf cart, air compressor, hand tools, power tools and vacuum cleaner
  • Ability to lift or exert forces equivalent to lifting up to 20 pounds; and to push/pull 25 pounds for 5 feet
  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environment
  • Ability to operate a motorized vehicle Incumbent is exposed to mechanical, electrical, explosive, fume/odor, dust/mites, and chemical hazards.

Qualifying Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED, plus a minimum of six (6) months related experience
  • Valid Texas Driver's License, Class C.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT SCREENING:

  • Criminal Background Check
  • Drug and Alcohol testing
  • Motor Vehicle Review (MVR)
