About this role
Citron Hygiene is seeking a results-driven Product Specialist, Consumables to grow sales of our workplace and washroom hygiene consumables, including hand hygiene products, paper products, air care solutions, feminine hygiene products, cleaning chemicals, and related workplace essentials. The Product Specialist will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, increasing product penetration within existing accounts, and delivering consultative hygiene solutions that improve customer experience, compliance, and workplace wellness.
This role combines sales expertise, product knowledge, and account management to drive sustainable revenue growth across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, hospitality, and food service sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Prospect and develop new business opportunities within assigned territory.
- Promote and sell Citron Hygiene's consumable product portfolio to new and existing customers.
- Conduct customer needs assessments and recommend tailored hygiene and workplace solutions.
- Develop and execute territory growth plans to achieve revenue and margin objectives.
- Generate and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, and lead generation activities.
- Deliver persuasive product presentations and demonstrations.
- 75% of time dedicated to selling and 25% dedicated to learning and administrative tasks
Account Management
- Build strong relationships with facility managers, procurement teams, operations leaders, and business owners.
- Regularly review customer usage patterns and identify opportunities for additional product penetration.
- Conduct business reviews and recommend value-added solutions.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
Product Expertise
- Maintain expert knowledge of Citron Hygiene consumable products and industry trends.
- Educate customers on product features, benefits, sustainability initiatives, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Provide guidance regarding workplace hygiene best practices and compliance requirements where applicable.
Collaboration
- Work closely with service, operations, and customer care teams to ensure seamless customer implementation.
- Collaborate with sales leadership on strategic account opportunities.
- Support product launches, promotional campaigns, and market initiatives.
Reporting & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities, forecasts, and sales activities within CRM systems.
- Track performance metrics and report against sales goals.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in consumables, facility services, sanitation, janitorial supplies, workplace solutions, or related industries.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building abilities.
- Experience managing multiple accounts and priorities.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling hygiene, sanitation, janitorial, safety, or facility management products.
- Knowledge of healthcare, food service, manufacturing, education, or commercial facility markets.
- Experience with recurring revenue and contract-based sales models.

Expected Total Compensation: $48,000-$70,000
