JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB SUMMARY
The Manager Assistant’s primary responsibility is to participate in training experiences, learn new skills and demonstrate increasing proficiency and expertise with managerial responsibilities. The Manager Assistant trainee program is designed to prepare high potential employees in the areas of people and operations management.
Under the guidance of an experienced manager, MAs will participate in the critical business areas of employees, customers and financials.


JOB DUTIES

People
Under the guidance of an experienced manager, Mas will participate in all employee-related management functions including interviewing, hiring, training, coaching, and motivating as well as performance management, conflict resolution, and the administration of human resources policies and initiatives.

By gaining practical experience in each of these areas, MAs will develop people and management skills to prepare them for future management roles. MAs are expected to serve as a role model for customer service and set the pace for service excellence for all employees.

Operations

MAs will learn all operational procedures within the theater, and will train, supervise and coach others on these same operational procedures. Additional responsibilities will include completing banking transactions, daily paperwork, and company reports.


EDDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
•    Full-service restaurant background
•    SERV Safe & Food Handler’s certification required
•    Availability to work during holidays, nights, and weekends with increased hours during peak times
•    The MA position requires standing, walking, lifting, twisting, bending and traversing stairs on a frequent basis

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a theater environment where typical levels of noise, dust and activity can be expected. The noise level in the work environment is typical for cinemas and can vary from moderate to high depending on areas of premise.
