Role Summary:

The role of a Theatre Manager - FEC
The Theatre Manager oversees and ensures the overall theatre operations, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests. This role involves managing the theatre team, ensuring high standards of customer service and supporting the General Manager as needed. The Theatre Manager will also work closely with other departments within the FEC to ensure coordinated and efficient operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight: Ensure all theatre operations run smoothly and efficiently. Certify that Cinemark Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines are followed by all team members and management staff.
  • Leadership: Offset the Management Team’s schedule to ensure a leader is present during all operating hours. Coach, lead, and provide support to the theatre team. Maintain an Open-Door policy with team members and management team.
  • Training & Development: Provide initial and ongoing job training for team members and managers, including cross-training of existing managers. Continue to develop leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Maintenance Reporting: Report the need for building, property, and equipment repairs to the Janitorial/Facilities Manager.
  • Scheduling & Planning: Adequately plan for theatre operations through movie and labor scheduling. Develop promotions in alignment with company goals.
  • Customer Service: Interact with guests for improved service in the theatre and ensure that theatre team members are providing superior customer service. Assist the General Manager in addressing guest concerns within 24 hours.
  • Professionalism: Maintain a level of professionalism in the building, amongst team members and management team. Set the culture of the FEC and facilitate a positive team environment/atmosphere.
  • Brand Ambassador: Be a Cinemark Brand Ambassador for all team members and the local community, sharing and supporting company culture, mission, and values. Champion change in the theatre and support corporate initiatives.
  • Compliance: Ensure proper inventory and money handling procedures at the theatre. Follow all local, state, and federal regulations as related to the theatre.
  • Administrative Support: Assist in the preparation of administrative reports for the General Manager. Communicate benefits to employees. Verify the theatre follows Film Presentation standards.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in theatre management or a similar role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical and Environmental Requirements:

  • Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking and reaching around the theater.
  • Noise level may be moderate to high at times.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for extended periods of time.
