Role Summary:
Cinemark is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Specialist to join the Cinematic Theatrical Presentation & Quality Assurance team and support enterprise-level, including premium in-theatre experiences and other technology projects. Reporting to the Director, Technology Projects, this role will assist in the planning, coordination, execution, and monitoring of cross-functional projects. The Project Specialist will play a key role in ensuring successful delivery of projects meeting and elevating Cinemark theatrical Presentation standards by managing day-to-day tasks, supporting technical and business analysis, and facilitating communication across internal teams and external partners.Project Coordination & Execution
- Support the execution of multiple projects from initiation through completion, ensuring alignment with timelines, scope, and quality standards.
- Track project milestones, deliverables, and risks; proactively follow up on action items and dependencies.
- Coordinate site readiness activities, including scheduling, logistics, and communication with vendors and internal teams.
- Assist in implementation of premium format initiatives and technology projects within the TOP Quality Assurance department, including equipment deployment and operational readiness.
Technical & Business Support
- Assist in gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
- Support data analysis, reporting, and tracking of key performance metrics for ongoing initiatives.
- Help evaluate systems, processes, and vendor performance to identify improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to cost tracking, budgeting support, and basic ROI analysis.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day communication across internal teams, vendors, and partners.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document key outcomes and action items.
- Support the preparation of project updates, reports, and presentations for leadership review.
Process Improvement
- Help create, maintain and improve project documentation, templates, and workflows.
- Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency.
- Support standardization of project management practices across initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Information Systems, Or
- 8+ years of experience in project coordination, operations, or technical support roles.
- Exposure to project management methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and project tracking tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
- Experience with digital cinema, AV systems, or technology deployments is a plus.
- PMP certification or progress toward certification is a plus.
