Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Belpre - Belpre, OH 45714Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayJob Category: QA - Quality ControlPosition Overview: To execute activities necessary and to document activities to assure that projects meet the customers quality requirements, as outlined in the Scope of Supply; execute activities necessary to support the quality management system and lead continuous improvement activities.

Essential Job Functions

Review project specifications and develop Inspection Test Plan to meet customers requirements.
Through cooperation with the Project Manager, collect and transmit quality documents, as required for submittal to clients. By example and not exclusion, includes test reports, test plans, welding procedures, NDE procedures, inspection reports and certifications.
Through cooperation with the Project Manager, Buyer, and Fabricator, schedule in-house and outside inspection activities to include (as required) the clients, sub-contractors, and in-house personnel (Engineering, Automation, Project Management, etc.) including (by way of example and not exclusion): 3rd Party NDEs (non-destructive evaluation), FATs, Pneumatic / Hydro tests, Final Inspections and Shipping Release.
Initiate NCRs (Non-conforming Reports) and Corrective actions for non-conforming product or processes. Follow-up on disposition of NCR to assure appropriate handling or rework of non-conforming product. Evaluation of corrective actions for effectiveness of actions taken.
Perform sub-contractor site inspections and vendor audits.
Perform final inspection and doc review of finished product; confer with Logistics to release product for shipment.
Perform internal audits: create audit plans, conduct audit interviews, summarize audit results, recommend corrective actions, and write/file audit reports.
Create, edit, maintain, and retrieve documentation in support of the quality system including (by way of example and not exclusion): QM, QOPs, Corrective Actions, NCRs, ITPs, work Instructions, weld procedures, welder qualifications, NDE qualifications, and internal audit reports.
Research, collect and post data to Quality Metrics.

What we're looking forBasic Qualifications

Typically requires completion of university training in engineering and/or equivalent expertise in a technical field.
5+ years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of Welding Processes and Weld inspection
Needs to apply basic mechanical/technical expertise to read fabrication and assembly drawings to perform inspections. Working knowledge of ASME/AWS fabrication. Experience with controls and automation is a plus.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within the immediate geographical area (50 miles) of location will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

ASME & AWS D1.1 Experience
Knowledge of Welding Processes and Weld inspection
CWI a plus
