About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Field Solutions Sales Manager to support growth in the Permian, Eagle Ford, and/or Delaware basins. The ideal candidate will bring established industry relationships, strong technical field knowledge, and residency within the assigned territory. In this role, you will build and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers through on-site visits to oil and gas production facilities and compressor stations. Using a solutions-based sales approach, you will identify customer needs and promote Cimarron field solutions, including production optimization, emissions control, real-time data monitoring, visual automation, preventative maintenance plans, rentals, parts, and refurbishments. This role is focused on generating new leads, growing repeat business, achieving sales targets, and expanding market penetration within the assigned territory.
Essential Job Functions
Proactively establishes, develops, and maintains strong business relationships with current and prospective customers in the Permian, Eagle Ford, and/or Delaware basins to drive sales of field solutions, including preventative maintenance plans, data automation packages, rentals, parts, and refurbishments.
Conducts in-person visits to oil and gas production facilities and compressor stations, supplemented by telephone calls and presentations, to engage clients and identify needs.
Navigates client organizations to influence key decision-makers by leveraging technical expertise, commercial acumen, and solutions-based selling strategies.
Researches prospective customers and analyzes market intelligence on competitors, industry trends, and emerging needs in the upstream and midstream oil and gas sectors.
Demonstrates a proactive, results-oriented approach to generating leads, closing sales, and expanding market penetration within the assigned territory.
Swiftly addresses and resolves customer challenges to ensure satisfaction and foster repeat business.
Develops and implements a personalized sales plan to maximize profitability within the assigned territory.
Collaborates with sales, service, engineering, and operations teams to ensure seamless communication and develop accurate scopes of work, proposals, and pricing packages.
Stays informed on Cimarron’s product applications, technical services, and competitive activities.
Conducts site walkdowns to identify equipment conditions, emissions risks, optimization opportunities, and potential Cimarron solutions.
Maintains detailed CRM documentation of site visits, opportunities, quotes, and follow-up actions.
Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships.
Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills to secure contracts and grow revenue.
Ability to work independently in a field-based environment with strong time management and organizational skills.
Ability to interpret basic operational data, including pressures, run times, and emissions indicators, to identify customer needs.
Familiarity with CRM software, such as Salesforce or Dynamics 365, and Microsoft Office Suite for managing client interactions and reporting.
What We're Looking ForBasic Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience in the oil and gas industry.
Experience
Minimum of 3-5 years of sales experience in the oil and gas upstream or midstream sectors, with a focus on field-based sales or technical solutions.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth in a competitive market.
Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of oil and gas production processes, including production optimization, emissions control, field equipment, and operational challenges in upstream and midstream environments.
Connections: Established network of professional relationships within the oil and gas industry, particularly in the Permian and/or Delaware basins.
Residency: Must reside in or be willing to relocate to the assigned territory.
Travel: Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory to visit customer sites, including oil and gas production facilities and compressor stations.
Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for field visits.
Independence: Demonstrated ability to work independently and communicate effectively with groups.
Work Authorization: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Ability to spend extended periods driving between customer sites, often several hours per day.
Ability to safely access oil and gas locations while wearing required PPE, including FR clothing, steel-toe boots, hard hat, and safety glasses.
