Scope

The Global Head of Technology – Leisure Travel is responsible for the global leadership, strategy, development, delivery, and production support of the CRS Leisure Travel technology platform, including parametric capabilities and innovation initiatives across five regions: North America, APAC, LATAM, EMEA, and Far East.

This is a 24x7x365 global business, and the technology platform must be resilient, highly available, and capable of supporting uninterrupted operations across all regions. The role leads a global team of skilled technology professionals responsible for solution design, development, support, and ongoing maintenance of the platform.

This position plays a critical role in defining the strategic vision of technology as a core enabler of the travel business. The incumbent will shape the platform roadmap, drive AI adoption, and identify the tools, processes, and operating model improvements required to enhance customer experience, increase delivery efficiency, and strengthen outcomes for internal and external stakeholders.

The role is accountable for all technology-related activities for the global travel platform, including change, run, risk, and budget management. It serves as the primary technology partner to global and regional travel business leaders on business opportunities, strategic initiatives, complex programs, new market entry, and partner engagement.

In partnership with the Head of Engineering and Solution Designer, this role ensures the CRS platform continues to evolve in line with the latest travel and consumer trends.

As a senior global leadership role, this position requires international travel, out of hours meetings, and regular engagement with senior business and IT leaders across all regions.

 

Responsibilities

Strategic Roadmap

  • Define and own the technology strategy and roadmap for Leisure Travel Globally and for each region.
  • Lead execution of the roadmap across multiple cross-geographic initiatives.
  • Partner with business leaders to design and deliver new platform capabilities, including parametric and innovative functionality that supports business growth and competitive differentiation.

 

Business Engagement

  • Partner with Travel business leaders, Operational , IT and program management teams across all regions to manage delivery, prioritization, and escalation.
  • Support new business development, strategic partnerships, and market expansion opportunities.
  • Act as a trusted technology advisor to senior business stakeholders.

 

Project / Program Delivery

  • Lead and manage multiple, concurrent global, regional, local technology programs and projects. Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, meeting business expectations and quality standards. 
  • Ensure each region has the appropriate structure, capacity, and delivery model aligned to business priorities, funding, and available resources.
  • Ensure issues and risks are raised and managed in a timely manner. Ensure Chubb project management standards are observed.
  • Oversee execution governance for complex, multi-region programs. Example Parametric and Innovation Initiatives. 

 

Team / Resource Management

  • Lead IT teams, including delivery leads and engineers, across multiple locations and three Chubb delivery centers.
  • Define and execute the workforce strategy to ensure the team has the right structure, skills, AI fluency, and tooling to operate effectively.
  • Build a high-performing, globally distributed technology organization.

 

Innovation

  • Drive innovation and streamline delivery process across the travel platform to enable rapid delivery of new products and fast onboarding of new partners.
  • Work with the Head of Engineering and Solution Designer to ensure the platform leverages modern technologies, data-driven solutions, and emerging industry trends.
  • Develop an IT capability roadmap aligned to business growth and market leadership objectives.

 

IT & Security Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to Chubb IT policies, procedures, security requirements, and architecture standards.
  • Ensure all CRS solutions are designed and implemented in compliance with enterprise technology and security expectations.

 

Production Support, Operational Resilience, and Risk Management

  • Own the operational stability, resilience, and support model for the global travel platform.
  • Ensure effective production support, incident management, risk mitigation, and business continuity planning.
  • Maintain a strong focus on service availability and operational excellence in a 24x7x365 environment.
