Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Logistics Operative to join our dynamic
team.
Key Responsibilities:
As a logistics operative you will have several responsibilities.
You will be required to support processing orders, picking, and packing the
correct products and ensuring all orders are shipped on time to the correct
location. You will also be required to support material and finished goods
movements within the factory, taking ownership with regards to organising and
maintaining inventory storage within the warehouse.
Accuracy is key in this role, as well as a desire to work
towards weekly and monthly targets - you will be contributing to meeting those.
You will assist in the control of safe receipt, storage and timely despatch of goods including:
Internal movement of inventory.
Goods in handling and inspection.
Outbound shipments.
Storage in accordance with warehouse plan.
Correct and safe packing of finished goods in preparation for shipping.
Generate CoC for all orders.
Creating custom documentation.
You will assist in the achievement of quality and
KPI targets.
You will collaborate with the production teams to
meet their raw material requirements systemically and receive finished
goods product into the warehouse.
You will communicate any product issues to the
Logistics Supervisor or Warehouse Manager.
You will maintain company records for stock and
sales shipments, resolving any issues that may arise.
You will assist with weekly
cycle counts and stock checks.
You will attend the
self-directed team (SDT) meeting for the warehouse.
You will always comply with company regulations
and operating procedures.
You will maintain cleanliness and organization of
the work environment.
You will promote a safe working environment.
You will support development / updating of training
and SOP documentation as required.
You will support the training of new
starters.
You will support the
business in other areas when necessary.
Skills/Experience:
You will have experience of handling and storage of clean room manufactured products (advantage but not essential)
You will be an effective communicator with good team working skills
You will have a methodical approach with high attention to detail to ensure accurate handling, storage, and despatch of products
You will have the ability to work on own initiative
You will have the ability to adapt to urgent requirements
You will be able to identify problems and implement best solutions in a timely manner to ensure we meet our KPIs
You will have an awareness of BS EN ISO 9001 and GMP standards (advantage but not essential)
You will have strong administration skills with computer literacy
You will have familiarity with online courier software such as DHL or UPS (advantage but not essential)
You will have experience of using WMS / ERP systems. (advantage but not essential)
You will have experience with mechanical handling equipment and hold a counterbalance and flexi forklift truck licence. (advantage but not essential)
You will understand lean 6 sigma. (advantage but not essential)
