Job Summary

We’re looking for a Machinist to program, set up, and operate CNC and manual machining equipment used in the repair and manufacturing of critical aerospace components. In this role, you will machine precision parts, perform equipment maintenance, and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.

Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday 6:45am-3:30pm

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Set up and operate CNC and manual machine tools safely and efficiently
  • Write, edit, and troubleshoot CNC programs
  • Machine precision components using horizontal boring mills, vertical lathes, engine lathes, mills, grinders, and drill presses
  • Perform simple to complex machine setups with minimal supervision
  • Monitor machine feeds, speeds, and cutting conditions throughout production
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to produce parts within tolerance
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using shop math and measurement tools
  • Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on machining equipment
  • Inspect completed work to verify conformance to quality requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

 

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of manual machining experience.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding technical documentation.
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC and manual machine tools
  • Working knowledge of machine tool operation, setup, and maintenance
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring instruments
  • Understanding of G-Code and M-Code programming
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and other Microsoft Office applications

 

Nice to Have

  • Technical or trade school education/certification in machining or a related field
  • Experience with Fanuc controls
  • Experience operating O-M vertical turning lathes (VTLs)
  • Experience with Sip, K&T, Shibaura, or Ikegai milling machines
  • Manual machining experience

 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to machining equipment, moving mechanical parts, noise, and industrial hazards
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and use hands for equipment operation and material handling
  • Frequently use close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception
  • Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds
  • Occasionally push or pull materials using handling equipment up to 500 pounds
  • Must successfully pass required hearing and vision examinations

 

 

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
