Job Summary

We’re looking for a Metal Worker to support the repair, fabrication, and finishing of aerospace components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you’ll use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment to shape, smooth, clean, and prepare metal parts to meet quality and production requirements.

Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday 7:00a-3:30p

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform metalworking tasks such as grinding, sanding, blending, deburring, polishing, and surface preparation
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment to repair or prepare aerospace components
  • Read and follow work instructions, job routers, specifications, and safety procedures
  • Inspect parts during the repair process to ensure quality and workmanship standards are met
  • Handle parts carefully to prevent damage and maintain proper part identification
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Support production goals by working efficiently and communicating issues to leads or supervisors
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and compliance requirements

 

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, metalworking, machining, grinding, finishing, or a similar hands-on production role preferred
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, and shop equipment safely
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written work instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment
  • Willingness to learn aerospace repair processes and follow quality standards
  • Basic computer or data entry skills preferred

 

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, industrial repair, or precision manufacturing
  • Experience with grinding, blending, polishing, deburring, or part finishing
  • Familiarity with blueprints, specifications, routers, or inspection requirements
  • Forklift, crane, or other shop equipment experience, if applicable

 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing/shop-floor environment
  • Regular use of PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and other required safety equipment
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and arm movements
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull materials as required by the role
  • May be exposed to noise, dust, heat, chemicals, moving equipment, and other standard manufacturing conditions
  • Must be able to follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times

 

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
