Job Summary

We’re looking for an Electronic Technician to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and reliability of advanced manufacturing equipment used to process aerospace components. In this hands-on role, you'll diagnose electrical and electronic system issues, maintain high-vacuum coating equipment, support preventive maintenance programs, and work closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to maximize equipment performance and uptime.

Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:00pm


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair industrial electronic, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control systems.
  • Maintain and support EBPVD (Electron Beam Physical Vapor Deposition) coating equipment and associated high-vacuum systems.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and production uptime.
  • Troubleshoot PLCs, CNC controls, motor controls, VFDs, power supplies, relay logic, sensors, and HMI interfaces.
  • Repair and maintain vacuum pumps, electron beam systems, cooling systems, and other process equipment.
  • Install, test, calibrate, and commission equipment to manufacturer specifications.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, calibration results, and equipment history.
  • Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment performance.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and vendor service representatives to resolve equipment issues.
  • Assist with facility and production equipment maintenance as needed.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, overtime, and occasional weekend support based on business needs.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding technical documentation.
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, electronics, electrical systems, or manufacturing equipment repair.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, motor controls, VFDs, industrial controls, and instrumentation.
  • Experience documenting maintenance activities and performing preventive maintenance.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.


Nice to Have

  • Associate degree or technical certification in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience maintaining EBPVD, vacuum deposition, thermal coating, semiconductor, or other high-vacuum manufacturing equipment.
  • Experience with SCADA systems, robotics, automation, or advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Knowledge of vacuum technology, leak testing, and high-voltage systems.
  • Calibration experience and familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Forklift experience or willingness to complete company-provided training.

 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work in a manufacturing environment around production equipment, moving machinery, elevated temperatures, and industrial processes.
  • Climb stairs, ladders, and elevated work platforms as part of regular job duties.
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 pounds.
  • Perform repetitive tasks requiring hand and finger dexterity, including using hand and power tools.
  • May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toed footwear, respiratory protection, and other safety equipment.
  • May occasionally work in confined spaces and elevated work areas.
  • Exposure to electrical, mechanical, and vacuum-system hazards in a controlled manufacturing environment.
