Job DetailsJob Location: Corporate Office - Oklahoma City, OK 73142The Consumer Loan Officer manages a portfolio of loans, prospects new customers, and cross sells banking services by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. The Consumer Loan Officer is responsible for soliciting, building and maintaining relationships with commercial bank clients and servicing a wide variety of real estate and commercial accounts.

STATEMENT OF EXPECTATIONS

Maintain knowledge and understanding of banking rules, regulations, laws, and all policies and procedures
Knowledge of applicable bank software, programs, and procedures
Demonstrate a willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines
Possess a work ethic that includes neatness and punctuality
Exhibit a professional, business-like appearance, and demeanor
Answer all voicemails and emails within 24 hours of receipt
Confer with management concerning questions, procedures, necessary information, forms completion, and problem resolutions
Complete and attend all required CCB training
Maintain satisfactory attendance

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Keep work area neat and organized.
Acts as the frontline contact for individuals contacting CCB about consumer and/or small business loan inquiries, directing small business inquiries to the appropriate party as needed.
Develops and maintains banking relationships through community involvement and building and maintaining business networking. Effectively prospect for clients and consultatively delivers creative financial solutions to meet their needs. Solicits commercial loan customers; personally interviews, assesses and determines credit worthiness of loan applicants.

Follows up with applicants and secures the necessary information to underwrite the loan and conducts site visits if needed.
Executes loan collection activities such as phone calls and e-mails to past due accounts.
Presents loan presentations to appropriate loan committees, or approval authorities, as required.
Initiates interest rate and pricing structures in accordance with bank policy and all loan regulations.
Promotes and participates in the bank’s special credit programs and other CRA programs.
Applies credit/analytical skills toward the effective underwriting of credit risk and engages in development of loan structure, terms, pricing and documentation toward the approval and closing of loans that achieve the objectives of the bank.
Processes loan requests by ordering appraisals, title work, filing liens, etc.
Ensure all collateral interests taken to secure the lending exposure of the bank are legally perfected and appropriately valued, monitored and insured.
Comply with all bank policies and procedures as well as related Federal, State and industry laws and regulations pertaining to the bank’s lending and banking activities.
Develop revenue growth through generation of loans & other products while meeting production goals.

PROFICIENCIES

Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person and over the phone.
Basic word processing and computer database skills.
Ability to learn and navigate computer systems and websites necessary to complete job description and other duties as assigned.
Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work with individuals and groups at all organization levels; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge and understanding of banking rules, regulations, laws and all policies and procedures pertaining to them including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
Ability to study and apply new information.
Ability to learn products, services and procedures quickly and accurately; explain concepts clearly to customers.
Ability to establish credibility and rapport, be friendly and personable and look for ways to benefit the customer.
Excellent customer contact skills; comfortable asking questions/interviewing customers about their financial situation; strong listening skills.
Must be organized and maintain a positive demeanor in all situations.
A solid understanding of structuring and underwriting commercial credits.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years work experience in bank lending.
Proven history of meeting departmental budget goals and personal budget goals.
