Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Design & Inspection Engineer on Jurong Island, Singapore through 28 August 2026 at 11:59 p.m. (SGT).

Provide fixed equipment and piping integrity expertise by developing and executing inspection strategies, managing inspection programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting engineering assessments, supporting reliability improvement initiatives and MOCs, leading incident investigations (RCA), and collaborating across functions to enhance asset reliability and safe plant operation.

Provides design engineering support to operating facilities. Utilizes a broad mix of engineering disciplines in support of maintenance, turnarounds, modifications, asset retirements, design, and construction.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Develops fixed equipment & piping inspection strategy using either industry best practice such as Times Based Inspection as per API code requirement or Risk Based Inspection (RBI) or Chevron methodology such as Fixed Equipment Asset Strategy (FEAS). Perform fixed equipment & piping inspection onsite when required.

  • Contributes as fixed equipment & piping SME to determine integrity of plant equipment for safe operation and perform engineering review & evaluation (i.e fitness for service) when needed

  • Act as owner of various inspection program (piping, tanks, vessels, pressure relief device (PRD) & others) and responsible for the overall program health, effectiveness, optimization and ensure compliance to code/regulation.

  • Responsible to lead or support MOC project for fixed equipment & piping reliability improvement

  • Lead or support incident investigation and perform RCA to improve fixed equipment & piping reliability performance

  • Participates in cross-functional problem solving to determine root causes & solution on equipment maintenance challenges

  • Act as site Technical, Code & Standard (TC&S) advisor - Maintain plant TC&S program, serves as an advisor for plant TC&S related matter, provide design engineering support for plant maintenance & project works & participate in Oronite Design Engineering global network

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor in Mechanical or Material Engineering

  • Possess at least 3 years of experience in refineries or petrochemical industries in operating plant maintenance environment

  • Knowledgeable in codes and standards such as ASME B31.3, ASME B73.1, ASME Section V/VIII/IX, API 510/570/653/610
