Summary

Chenega Security International, LLC is seeking professional and dependable Armed Security Guards to support security operations at government facilities and installations. This position is responsible for protecting personnel, property, equipment, and facilities through access control, patrol operations, security inspections, and emergency response activities.

 

 

This position is an overseas assignment in Japan. Candidates will report to Chantilly, VA, on September 21, 2026, for required training. Upon successful completion of training and qualification requirements, candidates will be relocated to Japan for their permanent assignment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide armed security services for government facilities, personnel, property, and assets. 
  • Control access to facilities by verifying credentials and screening personnel, visitors, vehicles, and deliveries. 
  • Conduct interior and exterior patrols on foot and by vehicle to identify potential security, safety, or force protection concerns. 
  • Monitor facilities, grounds, and restricted areas for unauthorized activity or suspicious behavior. 
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, incidents, and other security-related situations in accordance with established procedures. 
  • Prepare accurate reports and documentation related to incidents, inspections, and daily security activities. 
  • Enforce site security procedures, post orders, and applicable regulations. 
  • Conduct vehicle inspections, package inspections, and facility security checks as required. 
  • Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic and assist with parking control activities when necessary. 
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, fellow security personnel, emergency responders, and government representatives. 
  • Participate in shift briefings and receive post assignments, updates, and special instructions. 
  • Maintain issued uniforms, equipment, and weapons in a clean, serviceable condition. 
  • Handle firearms and other authorized security equipment in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations. 
  • Demonstrate professionalism and respect while working in a culturally diverse environment. 
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, nights, and overtime as required. 
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required. 
  • Must be at least 21 years of age. 
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in security, military, law enforcement, military police, force protection, corrections, or a related protective services field. 
  • Must be able to qualify and maintain certification on assigned weapons systems, including a 9mm sidearm and other weapons as required by the contract. 
  • Honorably discharged from military service, if applicable. 
  • Must successfully pass all required background investigations, drug screening, medical evaluations, psychological assessments, and training requirements. 
  • Must be able to meet and maintain all site-specific licensing, certification, credentialing, and security clearance requirements. 
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. 
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Armed Security Guard license if required by the location. 
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow instructions, prepare reports, and communicate effectively. 
  • Must have no felony convictions and no disqualifying criminal history that would prevent employment in an armed security position. 
  • Must satisfy all federal, state, local, and contractual requirements for armed security personnel. 
  • Successfully pass background and drug screening

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior military police, security forces, law enforcement, or armed security experience. 
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B) certification. 
  • Japanese language skills or experience working in an overseas environment. 
  • Experience supporting government or Department of Defense contracts. 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of security operations, access control procedures, patrol techniques, and incident response practices. 
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in stressful or emergency situations. 
  • Strong observation skills and attention to detail. 
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to prepare clear and accurate reports. 
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. 
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism and accountability. 
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures. 
  • Ability to safely handle and operate firearms and other security equipment.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods of time. 
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying environmental conditions. 
  • Ability to climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform other physical activities associated with security operations. 
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. 
  • Ability to maintain the physical fitness standards required for the position, including successful completion of required agility assessments. 
  • Sufficient vision, hearing, and mobility to effectively perform security duties and respond to emergencies.
