Job Description – Junior QC Chemist

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior QC Chemist to join our Quality Control team. The candidate will be responsible for testing raw materials, monitoring in-process and finished products, maintaining laboratory documentation, and supporting product development activities.

Key Responsibilities

Raw Material Testing

• Conduct routine testing of incoming raw materials as per standard specifications.
  

• Maintain accurate test records and reports.
  

In-Process & Finished Product Testing

• Perform quality checks at various production stages.
  

• Verify and approve finished products before dispatch.
  

Technical Documentation

• Prepare and update Technical Data Sheets (TDS) for all products.
  

• Maintain calibration and documentation records for laboratory instruments.
  

Competitor Analysis

• Test and analyze competitor samples periodically.
  

• Maintain comparative quality and performance records.
  

Laboratory Management

• Ensure proper calibration, maintenance, and smooth functioning of QC laboratory instruments.
  

• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the laboratory.
  

Product Development Support

• Assist the R&D team in developing new product grades.
  

• Support improvement of existing product formulations.
  

Requirements

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of laboratory testing and analytical techniques.
  

• Good understanding of chemistry fundamentals.
  

• Knowledge of MS Excel and documentation practices.
  

• Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
  

• Ability to work in a team environment.
  

Required Candidate Profile

• Freshers and candidates with up to 1 year of QC laboratory experience can apply.
  

• Candidates residing location should be near the factory location or from Kolkata.
