Proposal Engineer (Electrical Engineer)
About this role
Job duties:
- Develop technical solutions for electric heat tracing system projects based on state-of-the-art engineering practices, design experience, and automation tools;
- Review and analyze inquiries from both technical and commercial perspectives;
- Prepare tender documentation in accordance with customer requirements;
- Participate in the preparation of design specifications and collection of input data for electric heat tracing system calculations;
- Study and apply technical regulations, construction standards, and electrical equipment operating requirements, including customer-specific standards;
- Coordinate developed technical solutions with engineering designs across other project disciplines;
- Provide technical consultation within the area of expertise;
- Prepare and analyze inquiries for third-party products, including distribution panels, cables, and cable tray systems;
- Ensure the timely issuance of technical and commercial proposals in accordance with internal procedures and customer requirements;
- Provide technical support to the sales team and monitor proposal progress;
- Establish and maintain trusted relationships with customers, partners, and engineering design institutes;
- Continuously improve the technical and commercial proposal process and enhance proposal quality;
- Maintain communication and collaboration with proposal teams in regional European offices;
- Report to management on the proposal preparation process, proposal review status, and participation in tenders;
- Inform customers about the company’s products and services;
- Assist in organizing marketing and training events to strengthen the company’s image and increase brand awareness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related technical discipline;
- Intermediate level of English proficiency or higher preferred;
- Good knowledge of Kazakh and Russian languages, both verbal and written;
- Experience in electrical engineering design and/or power supply systems design for facilities of Category II and III responsibility levels (medium and low complexity) would be considered an advantage;
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel); experience with TraceCalc Pro is considered an advantage.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to conduct effective business negotiations.
