• A track record of hitting (or exceeding) targets — whatever stage of your career that's been at.

• The knack for building relationships that last, from a cold first call to a long-term account.

• A consultative streak — you listen first, then sell the solution that actually fits.

• Steadiness and follow-through when a deal falls through — you learn from it and keep going.

• Bonus points for experience selling SaaS, marketplace, or subscription products, but it's not a dealbreaker.
