Product Manager
About this role
This position is responsible for developing business of all fashion products by ensuring the
purchase, stock management and logistics coordination for boutiques in Taiwan Region
The mission is to have the right OBOS Buying Strategies incorporate with present evolving context
as well as to communicate with business stakeholders and ensure all the relevant actions are at the
right direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Buying:
- Assist the Sr. Product Manager to develop fashion categories. Utilize market knowledge and ensureinnovative approach to the business needs with OBOS in mind.
- Assist in preparation of OTB, buying / purchases to achieve revenue growth and brand image, as wellas to ensure the administration and purchase order for TAIWAN Region operations. Build the rightproduct assortment and right launch plan for each boutique.
- Attend buying sessions in Paris and Virtual. Prepare all necessary analysis and supporting documents for buying session.
- Co-host Post-buy meetings and submits final orders and communicate with Business Partners regards buying strategies and collect different prospective in order to apply right buying proposal.
Collection Launch:
- Collaborate with Merchandisers, Merchandising Planning, Retail/SC/VM team, monitor sales targets and ensure relevant transfers between boutiques, and transfer stock from overseas if required.
- Coordinate all aspects of product development with the needs of promotional, visual merchandising, PR, media planning and marketing functions.
- Regular visits in all boutiques to observe and gather feedbacks from boutiques and customers, manage and resolve effectively sales, assortment, stock, displays and other merchandising subjects.
- Co-host specialist meetings to assist merchandising, retail, SEM, VM, marketing and training team to groom different talents
- Support on Events and CEM activities with sufficient and right stock in order to build up brand image and achieve business target.
After Collection Launch:
- Monitor sell-thru by collection by product categories for all items sold in Fashion BTQ
- Identify product challenges thru customer/boutique feedback and co-work with Merchandising Product planning, Boutique Managers, VM, SEM and Supply chain to identify action plans to improve the results and reach objectives by product categories
Coordinate pricing information and data
- Ensure Global/Regional Pricing proposal is relevant to local context
- Collect feedback of digital content update around different tool users, Boutique App, Chanel.com and Client App. People development
- Coach and Supervise Merchandise Executive in managing the product in terms of merchandising planning, developing knowledge and sharing expertise with subordinate, to handle day to day operations, inter boutique and overseas transfers, merchandising data analysis with quantitative & qualitative feedback
Projects:
- Involvement and implementation of global & regional projects to support business needs and ensure target achievement
- Update work in progress, raise needs and provide recommendation and solution.
Person Specifications:
Academic / Professional Qualifications
- University graduate or above, preferable major in business administration or fashion design
Work Experience
- More than 5 years of work experience in retail / fashion industry, more than 5 years in product merchandising role, familiar with buying philosophy / process and strategies
- More than 5 years of people supervisory and performance management practical experience
- Merchandising experience in fashion luxury / accessory brands preferred
Required Competencies
- Good analysis ability, has got sense of fashion trend and luxury sense
- Good team player, able to interact and collaborate with cross functional teams ranging from retail / btq managers to training, marketing and VM functions
- Good command of English in both written and spoken communications
- Is details, good planning and organizing skills
- Flexible and adaptive to matrix work environment
