Head of Business Development
About this role
We are looking for a Head of Business Development with 5-8+ years of experience selling data or research solutions into biopharma to join Century Health as the first full-time commercial hire. This is a founding team role where you'll convert an existing pipeline, expand partnerships into multi-year agreements, and build the repeatable commercial motion — all while working directly with the CEO at a seed-stage AI company accelerating drug development with real-world clinical data.
What will you be doing?
Convert existing biopharma pipeline and expand current partnerships into larger, multi-year agreements
Own the full sales cycle as an IC — from sourcing and prospecting through negotiation and close
Build relationships across medical affairs, HEOR, and RWE teams at pharma companies and translate their needs into data scopes
Represent Century Health at industry conferences (~30% travel, concentrated in key months) to source opportunities and advance deals
Build the commercial playbook from scratch — pricing, packaging, and repeatable go-to-market motion
Key Requirements
Must have direct experience selling into pharma (non-negotiable — health systems or biotech alone won't suffice)
Experience selling data, RWE, or software to life sciences companies (ideal: Tempus, Flatiron, Komodo, OM1, Verana, Truveta, Atropos, Ontada)
Track record of personally closing multi-million dollar deals as an individual contributor
Comfortable operating as an IC in a seed-stage environment with no existing team or infrastructure
Willing to travel ~30% for conferences and customer visits
Company at a glance
Century Health accelerates pharmaceutical drug development by using artificial intelligence to consolidate and analyze real-world clinical data, breaking down traditional information barriers that slow innovation.
