We're looking for a Director of Project Management Office (PMO) to lead the enterprise project management function and help turn ambitious goals into measurable results. This role serves as the driving force behind project governance, portfolio management, resource planning, and execution excellence across the organization. You'll work closely with executive leadership, business stakeholders, and project teams to ensure strategic initiatives are delivered safely, efficiently, and successfully.

What You Will Do
As the Director of PMO, you will establish and lead enterprise project management standards, governance processes, and portfolio management practices that align with Centrus' strategic objectives. You'll oversee a diverse portfolio of projects, ensuring effective planning, resource allocation, risk management, budgeting, reporting, and execution. Working across multiple business functions, you'll provide leadership and guidance to project managers and stakeholders while driving continuous improvement, organizational accountability, and successful project delivery in support of Centrus' mission.
We’d Love to Hear from People With:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, Construction Management, Finance, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience leading complex projects, programs, or project portfolios within industrial, manufacturing, energy, engineering, government, defense, nuclear, or highly regulated environments
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing project teams, project managers, or PMO functions
- Demonstrated experience developing project plans, schedules, budgets, performance metrics, and resource forecasts
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and portfolio management practices
- Experience managing project risks, issues, scope, schedule, and cost performance
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, customers, regulators, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience utilizing project management software and reporting tools
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a “Q” clearance
A Successful Candidate Brings:
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent project management credential
- Experience leading PMO organizations within the nuclear, Department of Energy, government contracting, engineering, EPC, or highly regulated industries
- Knowledge of earned value management (EVM), capital project execution, and large-scale infrastructure projects
- Experience supporting strategic planning, organizational transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with Oracle, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Power BI, or similar enterprise planning and reporting systems
- Demonstrated success building high-performing teams and developing future project management leaders
- Experience presenting portfolio performance, project health, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and boards
- Currently possesses a “Q” or “L” clearance

This position requires the successful candidate to obtain and maintain a Q security clearance. Candidates for positions requiring a security clearance are required to be tested for the absence of any illegal drug as defined in 10 CFR 707.4 prior to an offer of employment being made. In addition, once employed, employees will become part of a random drug testing program and may also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol. This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
