Specific Responsibilities Would Include
Overall Responsibilities
Product Management & Vendor Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturers, leading negotiations on pricing, terms, and quality standards.
- Organize the team to independently plan and develop product collections in collaboration with design, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Manage pricing strategies, SKU allocation, and shipment schedules, taking ownership of data analysis and decision-making.
- Execute merchandising strategies by analyzing market trends and competitor offerings to drive innovation and optimize product decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design and production teams to achieve cohesive execution of business goals.
- Conduct data analysis on various tracking tools to identify opportunities and monitor performance.
- Source and develop new vendor factories, ensuring compliance with quality and production standards.
- Provide onboarding training for new vendors, ensuring they understand necessary guidelines and procedures.
- Initiate problem-solving and process improvements to enhance team efficiency.
- Effectively manage team workload and provide opportunities for professional growth aligned with career goals.
Production Monitoring and Order Management
- Regularly communicate with internal stakeholders to provide updates on product development, production, and shipment statuses.
- Monitor the sampling approval process to ensure timely submissions and high-quality execution.
- Oversee all operational activities, including sample development, costing, production tracking, and fabric development.
- Liaise with quality assurance and compliance teams to maintain high standards in production and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with compliance teams for factory renewals and corrective action plans.
- Identify production issues and collaborate with suppliers to present viable solutions to internal stakeholders.

Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have
Additional Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Merchandising, Fashion, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in merchandising, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within the apparel or accessories sector.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire, develop, and manage a high-performing team.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in costing, budgeting, and margin management.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines, highly detail oriented and meticulous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe products, Excel.
