Specific Responsibilities Would Include
- Manage the entire product development process from concept to shipment, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective, and on-time delivery.
- Leverage the global insights and design capabilities of the supplier base to complement and enhance the buyer and designer's product vision.
- Responsible for identifying and securing high-quality suppliers to support the organization's strategic objectives. This requires ongoing research into manufacturing industry developments within the region to keep suppliers accountable and competitive.
- Oversee the sample development process according to the product calendar.
- Accountable for price negotiations, FOB pricing, and margin outcomes for the assigned buyer portfolio.
- Monitor and improve delivery accuracy and production timelines across the supplier base.
- Foster strong collaboration with suppliers and North American buying teams, utilizing tools such as Time-and-Action (TNA) and Work-In-Progress (WIP) models to ensure accurate day-to-day order tracking.
- Responsible for submission review and approval.
- Promptly address and resolve escalated issues or seek timely guidance from Supervisors.
- Manage order processing and related systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Our Best Fit Candidate Would Have
- 5 years of proven merchandising experience in the children's wear product category.
- Comprehensive knowledge of garment manufacturing, including construction, fabrication, trim, and print techniques.
- Strong sourcing, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise between buyers and factories.
- Demonstrated experience working with overseas vendors and factories.
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively under pressure.
- Detail-oriented, efficient, and results-driven approach to work.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills in both English and Mandarin.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
