PILOTS Caseworker - Danbury
About this role
- Securing housing, move-in, relocations, interventions in eviction processes, rent arrears and housing stability.
- Assist participants with budgeting/banking
- Help participants with obtaining and maintaining entitlements.
- Provide crisis intervention
- Provide vocations assistance; resume writing, interview preparations, and job search assistance.
- Ethical, moral and professional integrity
- Empathetic and understanding to the people we serve
- Capable to efficiently manage the day to day workload
- Philosophical commitment to the concept of human potential
- Supportive and goal orientated
- Open, direct interpersonal style; works well as a team member
- Maintain professional boundaries at all times
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with psychiatric disorders or co-occurring population preferred
- Must be comfortable engaging clients in the community for majority of the position
- Field visits within the surrounding communities to see clients
- Registered & insured vehicle and approved driving record check
- Approved criminal background check
